Vancouver take control before half-time

The hosts opened the scoring in the 11th minute through E. Sabbi, giving Vancouver an early advantage. B. White then doubled the lead in the 23rd minute, finishing a move assisted by E. Ocampo. White struck again in the 37th minute to make it 3-0 and complete a highly productive first half for the Whitecaps.

Vancouver added a fourth just before the break. Ocampo scored in the 45th minute, with A. Cubas providing the assist, sending the hosts into half-time with a four-goal cushion. Vancouver also changed its lineup, sending M. Laborda on for R. Priso. The substitutions did not alter the result’s direction, however, as Vancouver continued to control the contest.

The fifth goal arrived in the 68th minute. B. Caicedo, who had replaced E. Sabbi six minutes earlier, finished with an assist from T. Muller. Caicedo’s immediate contribution underlined the depth of Vancouver’s performance and completed the scoring in a comprehensive home win.

Discipline and standout performances

Dallas collected four yellow cards during the match: S. Moore was booked in the seventh minute, followed by R. Binyamin in the 31st, J. Torquato in the 42nd and L. Abubakar in the 59th. Vancouver’s only recorded booking was shown to M. Laborda in the 90th minute.

White was the standout scorer with two goals, while Sabbi, Ocampo and Caicedo also found the net. Ocampo added a goal and an assist, and Cubas and Muller contributed assists as Vancouver’s attack repeatedly produced decisive moments.
