Solari’s Goal and Newells’ Eight Shots Secure a 1-0 Win

Platense lost 0-1 to Newells Old Boys at Estadio Ciudad de Vicente Lopez on Sunday, with Newells Old Boys holding the lead from half-time to the final whistle. The result came in Round 10 of the Liga Profesional Argentina Clausura.

Solari gives Newells an early lead

The decisive moment arrived in the 18th minute, when S. Solari scored a normal goal for Newells Old Boys. It was the only goal of the match and put the visitors 1-0 ahead. Platense could not find an equaliser before the interval or during the second half.

Newells made its first change in the 66th minute, sending B. Cabrera on for L. Carrizo. Platense then made two substitutions in the 68th minute, with J. Gauto replacing G. Mainero and F. Platense had the ball but lacked threat

Solari was the standout performer, earning an 8.0 rating after playing 76 minutes. His goal decided the match, and he also registered two shots on target and four key passes.
