Santos Strike Three Times to Overcome Vasco in Rio

Santos turned a scoreless first hour into a decisive 3-0 victory over Vasco DA Gama at Estádio São Januário on Sunday. Gabriel Barbosa, Willian Arão and Luan Peres scored within 13 second-half minutes, settling a match in which Vasco had more possession and more attempts but Santos showed greater efficiency.

Santos Turn Second-Half Pressure Into Victory

Willian Arão Leads Santos’ Decisive Display

Willian Arão was Santos’ standout performer, earning the highest match rating of 8.3 after completing all 90 minutes. His second-half goal was central to the visitors’ surge, and he also registered one shot on target during a composed display.

Luan Peres added a goal and played the full match, receiving a 7.6 rating, while Gabriel Barbosa earned a 7.5 after scoring before being replaced in the 69th minute. Behind them, Gabriel Brazão made four saves to help Santos preserve their advantage, and Gonzalo Escobar contributed five tackles across the 90 minutes.
