Samuel Lino’s brace powers Flamengo to a 3-0 win over Botafogo

Flamengo defeated Botafogo 3-0 at Estádio do Maracanã on Sunday, with Samuel Lino scoring twice and J. Carrascal adding a late third. The result, completed at 19:00 UTC in Serie A’s regular-season Round 25, gave Flamengo a convincing win after leading 1-0 at half-time.

Lino sets the tone

Flamengo took control in the 13th minute when Samuel Lino finished a move assisted by Jorginho. The early goal shaped the contest, allowing Flamengo to build from a position of authority while Botafogo had to chase an equaliser. Jorginho also provided three key passes, reinforcing his influence in the opening stages.

Agustín Rossi made four saves for the winners, and Erick Pulgar stood out defensively with seven tackles. Lino was the match’s leading performer, earning a 9.6 rating after scoring twice, producing two shots on target, creating three key passes and making four tackles.

Flamengo entered the match second in Serie A with 45 points from 23 games, and this victory strengthens its position near the top of the table.
