Raimondo’s brace powers Frosinone to a 3-0 win at Fiorentina

Frosinone strike twice before half-time

Frosinone defeated Fiorentina 3-0 at Stadio Artemio Franchi on Saturday, August 29, with Antonio Raimondo scoring twice and Gabriele Bracaglia adding the other goal. The result extended both sides’ losing starts to the season, but Frosinone collected a decisive victory in Florence after leading 2-0 at half-time.

Fiorentina had more of the ball early on, yet Frosinone made the breakthrough in the 26th minute. Giorgi Kvernadze supplied the assist for Raimondo, who opened the scoring with a normal goal. Frosinone then doubled its advantage in the 38th minute, when Bracaglia finished from Giacomo Calò’s assist. Further substitutions followed, including Fiorentina changes involving Albert Gudmundsson, Rolando Mandragora, Christ Inao Oulaï and Marco Brescianini, while Aleksa Terzić replaced Bracaglia for Frosinone in the 74th minute. The visitors protected their lead without conceding, completing a clean-sheet victory.
