Five Goals Carry Levante Past Betis Despite 60% Possession

Levante defeated Real Betis 5-2 in La Liga’s third regular-season round on Saturday, recovering from an entertaining 2-2 half-time score to claim a decisive home victory. The result lifts Levante’s record to one win, one draw and one loss after three matches, while Betis move to two wins and one defeat.

Levante opened the scoring in the 24th minute when Adrián de la Fuente Barquilla finished after an assist from Jon Ander Olasagasti. Real Betis responded 10 minutes later through Marc Bartra, restoring parity at 1-1.

Olasagasti completed the scoring in the 90th minute, with Karl Etta Eyong providing the assist. The goal confirmed a five-goal Levante performance and ended a match in which the hosts were particularly effective in front of goal. Possession favours Betis, but Levante take control of the scoreline

The disciplinary record was even, with Pablo García booked for Betis in the 69th minute and Jeremy Toljan cautioned for Levante in the 86th. Levante made an early change at half-time, bringing on Toljan for Nacho Pérez Gómez, while both teams made further substitutions as the match progressed.

Brugué leads Levante’s standout performers

Brugué was the highest-impact player on the pitch, earning an 8.5 rating and scoring twice in 84 minutes. Bardeli also received an 8.5 after contributing one goal and one assist in 65 minutes.
