FC Dallas’ Six Shots on Target Deliver a 2-1 Win at Minnesota

Dallas strikes twice after the break

The match was goalless until the 62nd minute, when Kaick da Silva Ferreira put FC Dallas ahead. Joaquín Valiente Cioli supplied the assist as Dallas converted one of its chances to break the deadlock. Minnesota responded 11 minutes later through Kelvin Yeboah, who restored parity with a normal goal in the 73rd minute.

The decisive moment arrived in the 84th minute. Santiago Moreno, introduced in the 77th minute for Christian Cappis, scored FC Dallas’ second goal after receiving an assist from Samuel Sarver. Moreno’s brief appearance proved influential, with the substitute completing the winning contribution only seven minutes after entering the match.

Statistics show a close contest

Minnesota had slightly more of the ball, recording 52% possession to Dallas’ 48%, and also completed more passes, 379 to 349, from 479 total attempts compared with Dallas’ 448. That control did not translate into a better result, however. FC Dallas produced 13 total shots to Minnesota’s nine, including six on target compared with two for the hosts.
