How it happened

Charalampos Kostoulas opened the scoring in the 35th minute, converting Pascal Groß’s assist to give Brighton a 1-0 half-time lead. Malick Yalcouyé doubled the advantage in the 51st minute from Maxim De Cuyper’s pass, before Groß scored a penalty in the 70th. Lewis Dunk made it 4-0 in the 83rd minute after Chema Andrés supplied the assist, and Yasin Ayari completed the scoring in the 90th minute, again set up by Groß. Coventry also finished with one red card, while Brighton received none.
