Bayern’s 28 Shots Secure a 2-1 Win

Bayern München defeated SV Elversberg 2-1 at Waldstadion Kaiserlinde on Sunday, September 13, with the visitors leading 1-0 at half-time. The result gave Bayern the win after their opening two league matches had produced one victory and one draw, while Elversberg’s two-game winning run came to an end.

Karl opens the scoring

Bayern dominate the numbers

The statistics show a clear advantage for Bayern despite the narrow scoreline. They had 72% possession and completed 754 accurate passes from 822 attempts, compared with Elversberg’s 245 accurate passes from 321. Bayern also produced 28 shots to Elversberg’s five, including 16 efforts from inside the box and six on target.

Elversberg managed three shots inside the box and one on target, while its goalkeeper made three saves. Bayern’s goalkeeper was not required to make a save. The home side’s resistance kept the margin to one goal, but the shot count and passing figures reflected Bayern’s greater share of the match.

Kane leads the ratings

Kane was the standout performer, receiving a 9.0 rating after playing all 90 minutes. He recorded one goal, one assist and five key passes. Karl also scored before leaving after 65 minutes, while Pavlović finished with an assist and three key passes.

Elversberg were listed fifth with six points from two matches before this result, while Bayern were sixth with four points.
